The adobe glows in the twilight of a summer evening as the warm light from inside spills onto the walled entry garden. The stained glass windows of the guest bathrooms can be seen at either side of the front door.

The oval foyer features a vaulted ceiling with a domed skylight and recessed pin lights. Creamy travertine floors herald the elegance of the home’s interior. Access to each of the two guest suites is from either side of the foyer.

Light from window walls on the east and a series of skylights fill the large living, dining, kitchen complex. Built-in plastered recessed shelves and nichos surround the fireplace as well as the wall between the living room and dining area.

Note the coved ceiling treatment between the vigas (beams). The stepped wall between dining and living areas provide ample room for display.

Travertine floors and solid granite counter tops appoint this state-of-the-art kitchen. The latest appliances and generous storage are a cook’s dream. Sweeping vistas of the Jemez Mountains to the west provide a splendid view.

An open fireplace shares the wall with the breakfast nook.Access to a small patio with a built-in barbecue is from the nook.

The spacious master bedroom opens directly onto the walled garden/patio and sweeping views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. A large fireplace is on the wall opposite the windows.

The light drenched master bath features both a skylight and a sun soaked panoramic view to the south. The floors are travertine. Marble tile surrounds the Jacuzzi bathtub and the glass walled walk-in shower. A solid piece of marble forms the counter for the dual wash basins.

The large carpeted and sky lighted walk-in closet of the master suite is generously appointed with custom shelves and island counter with drawers beneath.

The walled patio wraps sinuously around the east side of the house. The floor of the custom patio is of hand-fitted flagstone. The portal in the right rear covers the window wall of the master bed room while the portal cropped at the right shelters the living and dining areas.

Each of the sky lit guest baths feature travertine floors and tile surrounds for the bath. Accenting the bath are hand-painted ceramic tile borders. Matching stained glass window provide decoration and privacy. The guest suites include a separate fireplace and walk-in closet.
