About Fine Homes Inc. Erika has been designing fine homes in the United States for the past fifteen years following a ten-year career of designing homes in Germany and Austria. Erika designed custom homes in Mailbu, Brentwood and Santa Barbara, California. Fascinated with Santa Fe's ambience, light and traditional building styles, Erika moved to Santa Fe in 1997 and established Fine Homes Inc.
Currently working in the exclusive Las Campanas subdivision in Santa Fe County, Fine Homes Inc. has designed seven Custom Homes in this exclusive Subdivision. Las Campanas is considered one of the finest gated residential communities in the southwest and features Jack Nicklaus signature championship golf courses, elegant spa and tennis facilities, and a world class equestrian center.
How We Work
Fine Homes Inc. is a full service company which designs and builds.
Once the building site has been selected, the next step is to determine
where on the site the house should be located. We can provide information
about any restrictive covenants that may exist and work with you to find
that perfect place on your land that maximizes the views while providing
visual privacy.
Erika recognizes that we all have individual needs and desires. She
understands that we have distinctive habits and patterns that define how
we live our lives. One person leaps to an early morning workout while
another enjoys that leisurely first cup of coffee and a quiet place to
read the morning paper. The architecture and the plan of the home must
reflect these patterns to work successfully for the owners.
In-depth and detailed discussions will allow Erika to understand your
individual needs and how to design a home for you that enhances those very
personal patterns that define your life. This information is the basis for
the first draft of the floor plan. This floor plan is not only relegated
to paper but is brought to the building site to refine the home's ultimate
location. Appropriate changes will be made to the plan to finalize window
placement, views and sight lines, etc.
Drafting is accomplished through the use of computer assisted design
software to provide you with floor plans, elevations, building sections
and specifications. If required, a scale model of the home can be
provided.
About the Design and Building Process
Fine Homes Inc. has designed homes using Adobe Bricks, Rastra, or Frame Construction. It is the design and selected finishes that will make your home rise above standards. The average time to construct a 4,000 square feet home is approximately ten to twelve months.
We will help you design your kitchen and select all appliances and
interior materials including floor and bath tiles, hardware, doors and
windows. Great attention is given to color coordination and the visual
interaction of different materials and textures.
A well constructed home that uses high quality materials coupled with a
design that mirrors your lifestyle is more than a continual pleasure for
you to live in, but also your most important investment.

Erika J. Cameron is the moving force behind Fine Homes Inc. The daughter of an architect, Erika was born and raised in Vienna, Austria.
She added to her lifelong exposure to architecture with a degree in Interior Architecture from the University of Vienna.
